A business Friendly State

Washington State does not have a corporate income tax. Washington uses a flat tax rate based on gross sales called a Business and Occupation Tax (B&O) This flat tax rate allows a business to retain more earnings as profitability grows.

So as you see Washington is a pretty business friendly state. The state seems to understand, the more friendly the tax system and other fees are to business, the more they are able to hire the talented work force that is available.

Being able to employ more individuals eventually boosts the tax revenues for both local state and federal government. This trickles down, enhancing our neighborhoods with happy committed individuals.
