Airport Green

More Vancouver Neighborhoods

Airport Green is in a neighborhood that dates back to the late 1800s when it was called the Cascade Park-Evergreen area. Located within the Evergreen area of East Vancouver, 98684, Airport Green is mostly single family homes. Building of the properties began in the 1980's on land which, prior to 1947, was known as Sugg's Airport. Additional residential development occured in the 1990's.

The surrounding area has slowly improved over the years to what it is today with many single family homes, duplexes, diverse commercial properties, and public parks.

Airport Green was included in the 1997 Cascade Park-Evergreen annexation to Vancouver, subsequently being recognized as the City of Vancouver's 31st official neighborhood association.

Airport Green is a small, well established neighborhood filled with attractive homes shaded by majestic old-growth Douglas fir trees. Many of the homes here were built in the 1930s, but in recent years new homes and duplexes and apartments have been constructed.

Hearthwood Park, Airport Green's primary recreational amenity, covers nearly 6 acres of rolling green space and features beautiful flowering plum trees, a children's playground, picnic tables and walking paths.
