Fourth Plain Village

More Vancouver Neighborhoods

The Fourth Plain Village neighborhood is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, having been built during WWII, for the many shipyard workers. The homes in the area are mostly older, with many built in the 1930s and 1940s, however some newer homes have been constucted and sprinkled into the mix. The older homes are vintage 30s and 40s, smaller and are on smaller lots. There are some apartments, duplexes and triplexes in the neighborhood also. There is a very diverse and complete commercial/business district with retail shops and stores to satisfy most residents needs. There is one park, with lush landscaping and large mature trees. It has a complete playground, ball field and picnic area, and serves as the recreational center for the neighborhood residents. Fourth Plain Village neighbors respect one another taking pride in their unique blend of people, place and diversity.
