Clark County Schools
Clark County currently educates over 65,000 students
in nine public schools, fifteen private schools and state schools
for the blind and deaf. These schools are working to expand learning
systems that prepare students for the current and future world
of work.
Vancouver School District is the eighth largest
in the state and the largest in Clark County with 21 elementary
schools, five middle schools and five high schools. It also has
one school of arts and academics and one childhood center.
Evergreen School District is the tenth largest
and the most rapidly growing school district in the State of Washington.
The district includes 18 elementary schools to date, five junior
highs and three high schools. It also has one alternative learning
center and one vocational skills center.
The Vocational Skills Center is a cooperative venture
of six school districts: Camas, Evergreen, Ridgefield, La Center,
Washougal and Woodland. The center functions as an extension of
the students? home high school, providing advanced vocational
training in areas ranging from diesel mechanics and health occupations,
to fashion marketing and computer technology. The center provides
quality programs, up-to-date equipment and skilled instructors.
