When We Relocate to Vancouver- Much to Consider
Filed Under Blog · Tagged: Moving, Relocation, Vancouver Realtor
We have all moved or will be relocating at some point in our lives and when we do, most of us don’t really consider what is involved and how much time and energy it is going to take to make the move from one place to another, whether across town or across country.
The first thing most of us will think about is packing boxes, string or tape and renting a truck or other means to make the move. What about other things like overall moving costs? The time it will take to pack and how to pack so items end up at the new place in good condition? Who’s moving the heavy stuff? What about protecting the valuable furniture, appliances and even the china or dishware?
First and foremost; what about the children and their mental preparation for the move? Have you talked to them about the positive aspects of the move, or have they just heard about how hard it’s going to be moving everything?
How about the schools or parks in the new areas? What about Fido or Foo Foo? Are the pets going to be moved also? Arrangements must be made so they are not freaked out and end up getting away only to return to their old home.
There is much to think about when relocating and it should be done slowly considering everyone involved.
